It is a good idea to check around your water heater occasionally to see if there are any signs of leakage at the base. If you notice any signs of water on the floor there could be a problem with your water heater or around that area. Water heaters are supposed to be installed with a thermal expansion tank and a lot of times we see installations where they are omitted.
